Herbs are like people

Believe it or not

In summer they flourish

In winter they rot

 

Take mint for example

Cool, calm and refreshing

A busy networker

You can’t stop it spreading

 

We all know of parsley

Styled curly or flat

It's fashionable and ageless

Could it be the new black?

 

And don’t forget thyme

As there's never enough

A micro leaf herb

Goes with any foodstuff

 

Have you thought about basil?

Italian or Thai

Aromatic and pleasing

Like any nice guy

 

And then there’s Rosemary

She’s commonly known

For she’s pungent and woody

And overly grown

 

Let’s not forget sage

It’s so velvety green

It’s brilliant for stuffing
